Prima Foods – Our Components.
Prima Foods specialises in manufacturing catering components for the ready meal and catering sectors. In 2016 a state of the art gluten free facility was added to the Llanelli site. Above all the introduction of this site has broadened our product range and enables us to offer high quality gluten free catering components.
Our products are all frozen to lock in moisture and flavour. Although dumplings and stuffing balls are steamed before freezing for convenience, our pastry products and scones are frozen raw, ready to be freshly baked at your facility.
Our food component range is always growing and expanding, with opportunities for bespoke NPD for your business.
Our dumplings are made using natural ingredients. Plain, or flavoured to your requirements, these dumplings are made in small batches to ensure quality. Steam cooked to lock in moisture and individually quick frozen to seal in flavour. Dumplings can be manufactured between 30g and 90g per unit, with a 4KG total pack weight. They are vegan as well as gluten-free.
Our gluten-free stuffing balls can be made with classic sage & onion flavours, or other seasonal favourites. The stuffing balls are steam cooked, then individually quick frozen. This process ensures top quality flavour and as a result the moist texture is sealed in. The stuffing balls are made using natural ingredients in small batches and have a total pack weight of 4KG, each unit is between 30g and 90g. Lastly, these stuffing balls are both gluten free and vegan.
Sweet or savoury, our scones are made with lots of milk and butter to ensure they have a rich and indulgent flavour. Raw and Individually quick frozen to ensure a fresh baked taste. These delicious gluten free scones are available from 30g to 90g per unit, with a 4KG total pack weight. This product is vegetarian as well as gluten free.
Pastry Blocks (Gluten free catering components)
Real butter and milk ensures our gluten free pastry has an indulgent and high-quality taste. Available frozen in a ready to roll block format in shortcrust, ruff-puff and sweet varieties. A 4kg pack includes 4 units of 1kg each. Lastly, these are frozen raw, gluten free, vegetarian and there are also vegan alternatives available.

Pastry Pucks & Lids (Gluten free catering components)
Rich with butter and milk, these pastry pucks and lids have a full and rich flavour. Pastry pucks and lids are created in small batches before being individually quick frozen as a raw product. Our pastry pucks and lids are available from 30g to 500g units, with a 4KG total pack weight. These products are vegetarian as well as gluten free.
We are delighted to announce that our gluten-free choux pastry mix has won the Chef’s Choice award for innovation 2018. We achieved this award in the category for products sold as free-from. Our choux pastry is light and delicate, offering subtle, sophisticated ﬂavours. Individually quick frozen to ensure the product maintains its full flavour. Choux buns and eclairs are available as 20g-40g units in 4kg-10kg packs. They are vegetarian as well as gluten free.
Our luxurious real Belgian chocolate fondants and brownies taste rich and indulgent. The melt in the middle chocolate fondants, or gooey brownie slices are perfect for desserts or as an afternoon tea treat. The fondants are frozen raw in C-PET pots. One unit weighs 100g and each pack weighs 1.8kg. Chocolate brownies are available in a variety of sizes. These products are gluten-free and vegetarian.
Chef’s Promise has created a range of indulgent puddings, these desserts are easy to bake and full of flavour. Our Sicilian Lemon Sponge Pudding, Syrup & Ginger Sponge Pudding, Spotted Dick & Custard Pudding, Sticky Toffee & Salted Caramel Pudding and Belgium Chocolate & Orange Pudding are cooked and frozen in C-PET pots ready to be reheated. They are available in 20KG pack sizes, 130g units. The products are vegetarian as well as gluten-free
